How NIP Hawaiʻi handles information submitted through this website.
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Our approach
The Naval Intelligence Professionals Hawaiʻi Chapter (“NIP Hawaiʻi,” “we,” or “us”) uses this website to share chapter information, events, professional resources, and opportunities to participate. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.
Information you provide
When you submit the chapter interest form, we may collect your name, email address, optional phone number, professional affiliation, service background, rank or rate, NIP membership status or interest, professional interests, preferred form of engagement, referral source, and communications consent. The form also offers an optional, self-reported clearance-level field for event-planning and access-control purposes.
How we use information
We use submitted information to maintain the chapter roster, respond to inquiries, send communications you requested, plan programs and events, understand member interests, and manage access requirements when relevant. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Storage and access
Information submitted through the interest form is stored with the website’s hosting and data-service providers and may also be synchronized with the NIP Hawaiʻi member directory in Airtable. Access is limited to authorized chapter personnel and service providers who need it to operate the site or support chapter activities. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, legal obligations, or legitimate chapter records.
Technical information and third parties
The website and its hosting provider may process routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and server logs to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site. Embedded media and external links—including Pexels, Luma, LinkedIn, and National NIP—are governed by those services’ own privacy practices.
Cookies and tracking
NIP Hawaiʻi does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or analytics tools on this site. We therefore do not display a cookie-consent banner. Essential platform functions or third-party media may still use technical storage necessary to provide their services. If we later add nonessential analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and implement consent controls where required.
Your choices
You may ask us to update or delete your submitted information, or withdraw consent for chapter communications, by contacting NIP Hawaiʻi through our LinkedIn page. Requests concerning National NIP membership or the national website should be directed to National NIP.
Children’s privacy
This website and chapter interest form are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the form.
Security and changes
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the website or chapter practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
